the hot new meet-up in Florida for web design, development, online business, and of course Joomla!

After some long planning, fun coding sessions, and testing out JomSocial, the Joomla User Group (JUG) of South Florida's website is up!

This site will serve as a general pre-meet-up / post-meet-up news site as well as periodic blog posts on helpful Joomla resources for attendees. Also featured is an events calendar with the ability to RSVP (using the excellent EventList component of course) and a community aspect is available for anyone wanting to post questions, interact before and after meet-ups, upload pictures, and more! (using JomSocial, of course)

What are the goals for this site and the future meet-ups?

• Provide a friendly place for all types of users to meet-up and collaborate
• Create a community in South Florida and beyond that can offer opportunities, help, training, and more.
• A central place for people to catch up on news regarding Joomla, web design, development, SEO, and more, in the South Florida region.
• A place to get students (high-school and college) involved in web design and development.
• A place to cultivate business opportunity and business enhancement.

• The Community Register so you can do things like: RSVP for events (since space will be limited!), connect with local rockstars, ask questions, collaborate on projects, and more! make sure to add me as a friend.
